Six years ago, Raman Gauba made a decision that would change the course of his life. Weighing 25 kilograms more than he does now, he felt the need for change—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. That’s when he discovered running.

What started as a challenge to improve his health quickly became a passion, a source of discipline, and a journey of self-discovery. With every mile, Raman not only shed the extra weight but also gained a deeper understanding of his inner strength and determination. Today, after six years of dedicated running, he has completed countless full marathons and even ventured into the grueling world of ultra marathons.

Raman’s journey wasn’t just about personal growth. Along the way, he became a guide and mentor for fellow runners, taking on the role of pacer at major events. Helping others achieve their goals gave him a deeper sense of purpose, reminding him that running is not just about crossing the finish line—it’s about the journey shared with others.

His efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. Raman has been chosen as an ambassador for multiple events, and his association with Puma—a brand that shares his dedication to excellence—symbolizes the heights he has reached through hard work and commitment.

To date, Raman has run a staggering 23,565 kilometers and participated in some of the most prestigious marathons in the world, including the Tata Mumbai Marathon (2021 and 2022), the New Delhi Marathon (2021 and 2024), and the Berlin Marathon. His love for ultra-distance running has also seen him conquer the Trail-a-thon 56 km and the Ooty Ultra 52 km.

Through it all, Raman’s story is one of perseverance, resilience, and the unyielding belief that no matter where you start, the finish line is always within reach. His transformation is a testament to the power of dedication, inspiring countless others to lace up their shoes and chase their own dreams.
